| 16 /12/09 Who needs another Christmas Card?
Let's face it Christmas Cards are a bit old hat and end up in the Bin. So we decided to send a cheque to Help for Hero's instead. Like your good self, we spent most of our year sitting at a desk or out and about doing Outdoor Media. Our Armed forces in active service spent most of their year avoiding bullets and bombs. These guys and girls show true spirit, grit, bravery & determination and continue to defend us all. Too many lives have been lost & lives changed in the theatre of recent war. Anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all is a Hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. It is too often we see in the media images of our Servicemen & Women injured in Afghanistan & Iraq and processions of their fallen comrades through Wooten Basset. We should never forget. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded. However, together we can help them get better. This is why you didn't get a Christmas Card from us and they get a donation instead. |

Aerial advertising company Biggles Banners are to launch a new campaign targeting holiday makers along Key UK Coastal Towns and Beaches during this summer's school holidays.
Five pilots will each tow a 1,200 square foot banner over pre identified holiday hot spot on sunny days between the hours of 11am and 4pm, when the sea fronts & beaches are at their busiest. Key areas covered by the campaign will be the North East, North West, East Coast, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall coastlines.
Consideration has been taken for the unpredictable summer weather too. With a 5 hour towing window each day over the 7 week period will allow the pilots 1,225 potential towing hours to deliver up to 125 hours of targeted advertising.
Out of home media sales house Embrace Media will market the opportunity on behalf of Biggles Banners.
Greg Forster MD of Embrace Media said:
"With up to five banners in flight over five different regions at any one time, this unique opportunity is a neat way to connect with a huge audience below. Banner towing targets the audience when and where they are in a position to absorb the messaging, which means engagement at a far deeper level"
